We are happy to share some insights about CrossKnowledge drawn from our latest Value Index research, Ventana Research Value Index: Learning Management, which assesses how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements.
In all of our Value Indexes we utilize a structured research methodology that includes evaluation categories designed to reflect real-world criteria incorporated in a request for proposal (RFP) and vendor selection process for analytics and business intelligence. We evaluated CrossKnowledge and 13 other vendors in seven categories, five relevant to the product (Adaptability, Capability, Manageability, Reliability and Usability) and two related to the vendor (TCO/ROI and vendor Validation). To arrive at the Value Index rating for a given vendor, we weighted each category to reflect its relative importance in an RFP process, with the weightings based on our experience and on data derived from our benchmark research on learning management.
CrossKnowledge’s Learning Suite enables blended learning paths which use a user-centric interface and a wide variety of learning activities to create successful outcomes for workers.
CrossKnowledge was categorized as a Vendor of Assurance, ranking sixth overall in this Value Index evaluation. It ranked eighth in Product Experience. It ranked seventh in Customer Experience. Its overall performance was impacted by its lower rankings in TCO/ROI and Usability, which represent 25% of the weighting in the overall Value Index.
Our assessment finds that CrossKnowledge could perform better by examining its placement as 13th in the Usability category to better demonstrate how its product meets the varying business needs of different stakeholders. In the Manageability category, where it also ranked 13th, it could examine improvements in flexibility and documentation of licensing and use. A closer focus on the ability to meet organizations needs in TCO/ROI will help improve support for buyers.
This assessment was based on CrossKnowledge Learning Suite November 24 – 14.1.95.0.0 products available in December of 2022.
CrossKnowledge, like all vendors in this market, should ensure they meet the evolving needs and expectations of its buyers and customers for enterprise-wide learning and provide it where and when workers need it as part of their work.
