Infor is Innovative Vendor in the 2022 Business Planning Value Index

Ventana Research is sharing insights about Infor, drawn from our latest Value Index research, which assesses how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements. The 2022 Ventana Research Value Index: Business Planning is a distillation of a year of market and product research efforts.

In all of our Value Indexes, we utilize a structured research methodology that includes evaluation categories designed to reflect real-world criteria incorporated in a request for proposal and vendor selection process for business planning. We evaluated Infor and 13 other vendors in seven categories, five relevant to the product (Adaptability, Capability, Manageability, Reliability and Usability) and two related to the vendor (Total Cost of Ownership/Return on Investment and Vendor Validation). To arrive at the Value Index rating for a given vendor, we weighted each category to reflect its relative importance in an RFP process, with the weightings based on our expertise and research.

Infor is a global provider of applications and platforms with an emphasis on serving specific vertical industries. Its Infor Dynamic Enterprise Performance Management provides innovations for collaboration and user experiences.

Infor was categorized as an Innovative Vendor, ranking 14th overall in this Value Index evaluation. It was ranked seventh in Product Experience, and Usability, where it performed best. It ranked 14th and last in the Customer Experience, TCO/ROI and Validation categories. Infor’s overall performance was impacted by its lower ranking in Manageability, TCO/ROI and Validation, which represent 30% of the weighting in the overall Value Index.

Infor could perform better in Manageability, where it ranked 14th, in the areas of technology administration and investment for planning. In TCO/ROI and Validation, where it ranked last, Infor could provide more publicly available information on its support for customer experience. This assessment was based on Infor Dynamic Enterprise Performance Management, available in September of 2021.
