insightsoftware is Vendor of Merit in Business Planning Buyers Guide

We are happy to share some insights about insightsoftware drawn from our latest market research, Ventana Research Buyers Guide: Business Planning, which assesses how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements.  

In all of our Buyers Guides, we utilize a structured research methodology called the Value Index that includes evaluation categories designed to reflect real-world criteria incorporated in a request for proposal (RFP) and vendor selection process. We evaluated insightsoftware and 12 other vendors in seven categories, five relevant to the product (adaptability, capability, manageability, reliability and usability) and two related to the vendor (TCO/ROI and vendor validation). To arrive at the Value Index rating for a given vendor, we weighted each category to reflect its relative importance in an RFP process, with the weightings based on our experience and on data derived from our benchmark research on business planning. 

Our analysis classified insightsoftware as a vendor of Merit, receiving an overall grade of B with a 66.0% performance. insightsoftware’s best grouped results came in Customer Experience at 67.2% performance and a B grade, due in part to its B in TCO/ROI. In Product Experience, insightsoftware received a B grade with a 65.7% performance due to its 75.2% performance in Manageability. insightsoftware did not participate in the RFI process. 

insightsoftware’s B grade in Product Experience was impacted by its C+ in Usability where it could improve its user experience. Customer Experience was impacted by its B grade in Validation caused by its non-participation and therefore lack of reference customers provided by the vendor.  

insightsoftware performed best in Customer Experience with a B grade, notably in TCO/ROI, receiving a B due to its available product information to support a prospective buyer’s business case. In Product Experience, it did best in Manageability where its support of privacy and security led to its B++ grade and a B+ in Reliability due to its scalability.
