Rippling is Vendor of Merit in Global Payroll Buyers Guide

We are happy to share some insights about Rippling drawn from our latest market research, Ventana Research Buyers Guide: Global Payroll, which assesses how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements.  

In all of our Buyers Guides, we utilize a structured research methodology called the Value Index that includes evaluation categories designed to reflect real-world criteria incorporated in a request for proposal (RFP) and vendor selection process. We evaluated Rippling and 12 other vendors in seven categories, five relevant to the product (adaptability, capability, manageability, reliability and usability) and two related to the vendor (TCO/ROI and vendor validation). 

Our analysis classified Rippling as a vendor of Merit, receiving an overall grade of B- with a 60.2% performance. Rippling’s best grouped results came in Product Experience at 63.9% performance and a B grade due in part to its B in Capability. In Customer Experience, Rippling received a C grade with a 42.1% performance due to its 35.9% performance in TCO/ROI. Rippling did not participate in the RFI process. 

Rippling’s B grade in Product Experience was impacted by its B- in Adaptability where it could expand on its configuration and customization options, including the extent of their preconfigured customization options and how they are made. Customer Experience was impacted by its C- grade in TCO/ROI where it needs to demonstrate the tools available to prospects or customers on evaluating TCO and ROI. 

Rippling performed best in Product Experience with a B grade, notably in Capability, receiving a B due to well-rounded payroll analytics capabilities. In addition, Rippling’s diverse core payroll capabilities led to its strong performance in the Capability category.
