We are happy to share some insights about Syndigo drawn from our latest Value Index research, Ventana Research Value Index: Product Experience Management, which assesses how well vendors’ offerings meet buyers’ requirements.
In all of our Value Indexes we utilize a structured research methodology that includes evaluation categories designed to reflect real-world criteria incorporated in a request for proposal (RFP) and vendor selection process for product information management (PIM) and product experience management (PXM). We evaluated Syndigo and 15 other vendors in seven categories, five relevant to the product (Adaptability, Capability, Manageability, Reliability and Usability) and two related to the vendor (TCO/ROI and Validation). To arrive at the Value Index rating for a given vendor, we weighted each category to reflect its relative importance in an RFP process, with the weightings based on our experience and on data derived from our Product Experience Management Benchmark Research.
Syndigo, through acquisition of Riversand, is a dedicated global provider for meeting the needs for content and product processes through its portfolio of offerings.
Syndigo was categorized as an Innovative Vendor, ranking fourth overall in this Value Index evaluation. It ranked fourth in Product Experience where it was designated as a Value Index Leader in Adaptability and ranked second and next best in Usability, Manageability and Capability where it placed fourth. It ranked 10th in Customer Experience and performed best in Validation, placing sixth. Its overall performance was impacted by its lower ranking in Reliability where it placed 15th, which represents 10% of the weighting in the overall Value Index.
Our assessment finds that Syndigo could perform better in TCO/ROI by examining the level of information provided related to its commitment to customer experience and guidance for organizations. Syndigo’s approach to content and data and unifying product information and experiences establishes its market opportunity.
This assessment was based on Syndigo 2023.R1 supporting product experience management and was available in December of 2022.
Syndigo, like all vendors in this space, should focus on the growing requirements for what product experiences are expected and how feedback from consumption can guide improvement.
